Nacho grew up in Madrid. The cured meats, the aged cheeses, the bread rubbed with tomato and oil — this is not a trend he's adapted to. It's what he knows. La Mesa Española is that knowledge laid out on a table, styled and ready before your first guest arrives.

What's on the Table

Three anchor zones. Each one complete on its own — together they make a proper Spanish spread.

Carnes Curadas

The centre of any Spanish grazing table. Sliced to order where possible, fanned and dressed with nothing — the quality speaks without garnish.

  • Jamón Serrano — 18-month aged
  • Chorizo Ibérico — sliced thin
  • Salchichón — mild, aromatic

Quesos

Spanish cheese deserves more recognition in Melbourne. Manchego is the headline but it's not alone — membrillo alongside and honey for the sharper aged varieties.

Pan & Acompañamientos

The base that ties everything together. Pan con tomate is not optional — it is the table. Everything else is built around it.

The grazing table is cold — it is designed to sit, look extraordinary and be grazed across an hour or two. But the best Spanish events pair it with something warm and theatrical arriving at intervals.

Croquetas come out hot, passed on a tray. The grazing table is already there. Guests don't have to choose — they have both.
